Denied Insurance Claim
Challenge
The homeowner filed an insurance claim after a hail storm hit their neighborhood in 2015. The insurance adjuster came out to inspect the property and claimed there was no hail damage to the roof system, but he did find damages to the gutters. The customer was not happy since the entire neghborhood was having roofs replaced. The adjuster did not look inside the house for water damaged. Because of this, the customer had an interior leak that was not covered in the claim.
Solution
Our Company Manager, Eric, helped the customer contact the insurance company to request a re-inspection of their property. At that time, the insurance company request an estimate of damges before they would grant a re-inspection. Our team of estimators created an insurance estimate based from Xactimate (Insurance Pricing) and we provided them with an Eagleview Report (Satelitte measurements) as well. The insurance reviewed our documents and decided to grant the re-inspection of this property.
Eric met with the adjuster and he agreed that there was hail damage to the roof, air condition unit, windows and gutters/downspouts. This homeowner received the proper home improvement services through Housworth Construction and couldn't be more pleased!
