Upon inspection one of the first things we check for is plumbing boots. These are notorious for leaking, especially if they are rubber plumbing boots. The best thing to do when your roof is in need of repair & it's the plumbing boot we suggest to upgrade to a lead plumbing boot. This prevents sun damage, dry rot & also critter damage. The sun doesn't damage lead plumbing boots & critters find it annoying to chew on something & get nowhere. If your roof is 12 years or younger, you should upgrade to lead boots so you don't have to worry about another leak until it's time to replace the roof system.
